Butter Milk Biscuits

When it comes to quick breads I love butter milk biscuits. I like to make a batch of these on a holiday weekend, or before going to the country. They really add just what is needed for a big Bacon and eggs breakfast.

Ingredients:
· 2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 fl oz butter, chilled, diced
7 fl oz buttermilk

Preheat oven to 350ºF(175ºC). Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor using the plastic blade. Pulse until well-blended. Add the butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal, about 5 seconds. Transfer mixture to a bowl and add the buttermilk. 3 Stir with a fork until it forms a dough. Roll out dough to about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits with round 2 inch diameter cutter. Bake until golden-brown, about 25 minutes.
